Following my own steps

Today when I got out of bed and took my shower. I thought it was going to be an ordinary day. When I went to go into the shower I noticed that someone else was in there so i waited patiently and thought a little to myself about what i needed to do today and I day dreamed about some things I could do today. After my shower I walked fairly slowly to my first class just letting the wet grass softly moisten my toes with dew, and rain. I found a friend today that I sometimes find and I walked with him to I had to leave for class. I arrived at my first class of the day, Sociology.

In this class we went over psychology of the mass today. We went over why 'bob' did not wear a dress. The class came up with that only "pretty" people from the media where dresses. I was just observing and watching this conversation commence into a cascade of ideas in my head. If the media has so much premise on societies decisions, why do most people not get what will make them happy or make themselves voluntarily in pain? Then I decided to go against it for a couple of minutes and try to find prof that it was wrong. All I could find is personal experiences that proved it right. So my mission for today is to observe what I do to make myself not as happy as I could be, and reverse it while swimming down my stream, not my neighbors stream.

Walking

I was walking around our pond, and I saw one of the most queer things.

A duck that looks as if it was part turkey buzzard. I watched the bird as it tried to walk around, it was having a little trouble with the walking bit but then another duck come about and it was one of the most beautiful ducks I had ever seen. A perfectly white duck with the perfect bill, came up and helped the other duck along and trailing behind that white dock was baby mallard ducks. One of these ducklings resembled the odd duck.

At first when I saw this I was astonished and became humbled that the old duck had a mate that was beautiful and dedicated.

As they both swam off into the pond I thought of how both of the ducks were just flowing with life naturally in a pond that is dirty from what has been thrown into it, yet still floating along like it was nothing at all. It was one of the most beautiful things I could share for today.

:)
